9:56am and all is well!

Off for another day of adventuring! Yesterday was nice and laid back, as we were still recovering from recent traveling events. We sat at the park on the river across from our hostel, journaled, and talked. When we felt like it, we roamed around the city. We hit the Old Square, Wenseslas Square, Charles Bridge, and some stuff in between.

But the real news is, we made an amazingly good dinner. Having gone to the supermarket, we picked up some noodles and what we thought looked like sauce. It said something like spaghetti on it, it looked red, and there was a picture of noodles on the front. Safe, right? Well, it turned out to be pretty orange with chunks of things in it, including large strips of what we think might have been beef at one time. Even I wouldn't eat it. The meat, that is. But the sauce wasn't terrible. It was just a little bit a la Chef Boyardee. Good thing we had fresh cucumber and red wine on the side. Yummmm. Having been to a bottling place for a wine tasting, I picked up a bottle very inexpensively last week to share for our first dinner, and it wasn't half bad. I think Mary will be posting pictures later. It looked pretty romantic.

I think we are now off to explore the castle and the surrounding area across the river. We continue to be alive and healthy, aside from the sick amount of orange peel I can't manage to get out from under my fingernails. For those of you who are wondering when the "Mary" part of the "Julie and Mary" blog will be contributing, I think it will be soon. There has been some mix-up as far as the invitation to authorship, but I'm pretty sure it will be cleared up shortly. She's basically already an author anyway considering her proof-reading efforts going on over my shoulder right now.

Okay, that's it for now!

Sounds simply delightful (minus the whole sketchy sauce thing).

Peace to you both. :)
